Codes (that they dont tell you in the manual)
To check the IMEI (International Mobile Equipment Identity) type: *#06# Information you get from the IMEI:

Revealing Headphone and Car-Kit Menus
Think about this: If you do these tricks the new menus can not be erased after the procedure. But it's not dangerous or harmful for your phone To enable the headset-function, you have to short-circuit the "3" and "4". After a short time there is "Headset" on the display Now, menu 3-6 is now enabled! To enable the carkit-function you have to short-circuit the "4" and "5". After a short time, "Car" is shown on the display and the menu 3-7 is enabled!!

This Trick is for you how want to hear more then your supposed to!

If you short-circuit the left and the right contact with the middle contact ("3", "6" and "9") the Nokia Software hangs! The profile "Headset" will be activated. Before you do this, just active the "auto call receive" function in the headphone profile and set the ringing volume to "mute" Now you can use your phone for checking out what people are talking about in a room. Place the phone somewhere stratidic and call your phone! The phone receives the call without ringing and you can listen to what people are talking about! .....gr8...

Serial numbers on your 6110
For more info type: *#92702689#
The first screen gives you the serial and IMEI number.
Then there is the Date of Manufacture: ex. Made 1297
Then there is the Purchasing Date: ex. Purchasing Date 0298
Then there is the last Repair Date: ex. Repaired: 0000
Note: you must turn off the phone to exit after this test, because of the last function, "transfer user data" which Doesn't work as "standard".. ..You can use this mode only to transfer all Calender, Profile and Callers Group Information to another phone (eg. if you are replacing phone or configuring phones for use within your company or when a particular phone doesn't works correctly )

Activating and deactivating EFR and HFR, on your 6110

Facebook Tops Glassdoor’s List of Places to Work: By Ryan Kim

Engineers aren't just flocking to Facebook for a potential blockbuster IPO payout — apparently the social network is also a great place to work. Glassdoor.com announced that Facebook is debuting at the top of its third-annual list of 50 best places to work, beating out last year's No. 1, Southwest Airlines. Technology rivals Apple (#20) and Google (#30) are further back in the pack along with Adobe (#39), Salesforce.com (#41) and Intel s (#45.)

Meanwhile, Facebook founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg, fresh off his relatively polished 60 Minutes interview, got a 96-percent approval rating from his employees, better to or equal than all but four CEOs — including Steve Jobs, who got a 97-percent rating. The recognition by Glassdoor, a job-seeker and career community, suggests that Facebook is not only firing on all cylinders but also keeping its employees happy. How much of that is tied to an eventual stock payoff is hard to say, now that the company is worth more than $50 billion by one measure. But it seems as though there are many reasons why Facebook is luring so many top engineers away from local tech companies, not just the promise of money.

Facebook earned a 4.6 rating out of 5 points, which is derived from employee surveys on eight categories: work/life balance, career opportunities, communication, compensation and benefits, fairness and respect, employee morale, recognition and feedback, and senior leadership. Facebook's appetite for workers, especially employees from rival Google, has been fodder for tech pundits, especially after Google reportedly offered $3.5 million to keep an employee from switching sides. Om wrote about the issue back in October when Lars Rasmussen, the co-creator of Google Maps and Google Wave jumped to Facebook. Om wondered if Google had grown so big, it was getting hard to get things done, something Facebook with its smaller staff didn't have to deal with as much.

A thread on the question-and-answer site Quora about which is better to work for brought a response from Facebook engineer David Braginsky, also an ex-Google employee. Braginsky said Google is technology driven and capable of using its size to tackle big problems, but he praised Facebook for being a cozier and more casual place, where workers can have more of an impact. Whether Facebook or its CEO can remain as popular with workers as the company grows up is an open question — but for now, the company is proving again that it is the darling of Silicon Valley.

A companion report on 2010 tech company ratings also yielded some interesting results, particularly about CEOs. Carol Bartz, the embattled head of Yahoo , got a 56-percent approval rating, better than Jerry Yang's 34 percent when he stepped down. Microsoft's Steve Ballmer and Michael Dell got 49 and 51 percent respectively. EBay's John Donahoe received a 30 percent rating while Level 3 Communication's CEO Jim Crowe got a 22 percent.

At the high end, Steve Jobs led the way with 97 percent, ahead of Zuckerberg and Google's Eric Schmidt, both tied for 96 percent. Salesforce's Mark Benioff earned a 91 percent while Paul Otellini of Intel got 84 percent. And Oracle's Larry Ellison got a 78-percent rating.

Labels in GMAIL - (Msg - 101b - English)

This is part 2 of the previous email which was sent related to the GMAIL usage and its configuration.

(People who find it difficult to read and understand it in English, they can read the same email in Roman Urdu which I have sent it along with this email….incase you don't receive Roman Urdu version, you can request me to send that mail... so wat you say now J )

Lets Start,

http://www.greenberg-art.com/.Illustrations/.Humorous/qq1sgMessyDesk.jpg

You come to home and find out that it's quite messy. All of your stuff is just lying on the floor, things are not in the order or at place then definitely you are not going to like it at all (beside who are lazy :P)

Your Email inbox is exactly the same thing (like your house or room). If you sign in and your inbox which is full of emails without any order then definitely, after some time when there are 1000s of emails and you need 1 particular email… it will frustrate you to search that email like nething.

So today we are going to talk about LABELs, which is 1 of the core and important feature of GMAIL. Which you can use it easily to arrange your inbox. Just like the folders but have lot more features in it.

GMAIL doesn't have a concept of FOLDERS like other email providers Hotmail or Yahoo. But you can use LABELs just like the Folders. Infact LABELs are much better than Folders...because if you moved your email from the inbox to the Folder (in hotmail or yahoo)…then you can't put the same email in other folder. For example if you are working on a project or whatever and you received an email which is related to your project and also want to put it in other folder then you can't do this. But in GMAIL what you can do is LABEL that email with project name and can also put another LABEL like follow-up or anything else. There is no limitation on that. You can put as much LABELs on 1 email you want. And then you can click on the LABELs which will be on the left hand side below Trash folder and can see your email in each LABEL folder as shown in pic 3.

When you open any email, you will find a set of buttons on top section, which you can see in below picture where you can see the LABEL button

Pic-1

Once you tag the email, that email will not move from the INBOX, it will remain over there but it will be tagged just like shown in the below pic. I have LABELED 1 email with IT and you can see that LABEL in a green color before subject.

Pic-2

Likewise, I have LABELED some emails with GENERAL and there are now viewable in the General folder as well as shown in the pic below. You can see the LABELs on your left hand side below the Trash Folder

Pic-3

You can also use LABELs as a Folders. Just open the email and move them to the LABEL folder like you do in the Hotmail or yahoo. You can see the move button which is beside LABELs button as shown in the picture 1, 2 & 3. If you want you can LABEL the email and move it to the LABEL folder as well means 2 in 1 Functionality. By doing this you Inbox will be clean and very much sorted.

How to create, assign the LABELs, change the colors of LABELs, difference between LABELs and folders will be discussed in the future email.

I will wait for your response and comments. Do Reply Me. You can also join me on Facebook and Twitter. So that we can make a social circle where we can discuss and talk about different stuff. And whenever I am going to post something new, it will be posted on Facebook and Twitter first. You can search me at the social sites (Facebook & Twitter) with my gmail id which is omg.eureka@gmail.com to add it as a friend and you can also add me on the google talk or any other messenger.
